Our Story
Homeowners with solar kept hitting the same wall: their roofer wouldn’t touch a re-roof or repair with panels still up, and their original solar installer either didn’t offer removal service or was booked out for weeks. That gap — between “the roof needs work” and “the solar needs to come off first” — is what R&P Solar was built to close.
We started as a small crew doing removal and reinstall for local roofing contractors, and it’s stayed our specialty ever since. Today we handle removal & reinstall, panel cleaning, solar pool and DHW systems, and new installs for homeowners across San Diego County — but the core of the business is still getting panels off a roof safely, and putting them back correctly.

The communication was excellent and everything was carried out as promised at an extremely reasonable price. Sandra Gonnerman413 days agoRodrigo and his crew are punctual, informed, and willing to work to solve your issue. He communicates with every step and is resourceful if an issue arises. Rodrigo made suggestions that helped me navigate an expensive problem and his team is diligent about being tidy. Don’t employ anyone else. He was knowledgeable on how to repair and fix the error code on a very old system to get it working optimally again. He came out quickly to inspect the system and then repair it. Hamid Kahangi623 days agoI hired R&P Solar to remove and reinstall my Solar Panels due to replacing the roof. Rodrigo and his crew did an outstanding job of meticulously removing the panels, installing new pegs on the new roof and reinstalling the panels. I was really impressed with Rodrigo’s knowledge and his attention to the details and going out of his way to make sure all 21 panels were installed the best way possible without harming the new roof. He even corrected number of things that were not done correctly by the original installer that had damaged the integrity of the previous roof. I totally recommend R&P Solar, and think they truly deserve all the 5 star reviews they have received for performing outstanding jobs, and going above and beyond to do the job right. He arrived on-time for the job the very next day. Rodrigo and his assistant completed the project that day, on time, on schedule, and at cost as quoted.
